Thinner: water Defoamer: REDIVERS 300 ANTIFOAM 0017 – If any foam builds up, an addition of 0,1 – 0,6% is recommended. The defoamer should be added under stirring it has been tested that it is easy to incorporate to the ink. CAUTION: Overdosing of the antifoam can cause formation of pinholes.

The inks mentioned above are not suitable for oven applications. The components are not confirmed to be compliant with “BfR XXXVI/2 Paper and Paperboard for Baking Purposes”. The use of inks must be tested for migration analysis prior to application. It must not be forgotten that the specific regulatory requirements must be met for specific target market.

Printing process The inks are ready for printing as delivered. Adjust the desired printing viscosity with thinner. If, during recirculation of the ink, any foam builds up, defoamer should be used as described in Additives paragraph.
To keep the cleaning easy, it is recommended to clean the printing unit (anilox roller and design plate) immediately with wet cloth/sponge while machine stops. Dried ink can be removed with 10% solution of REDIVERS 300 DFC CLEANER 0112. The instruction described above should be followed. The following set up for printing unit shows the best printing results

• Printing speed 50 – 100 m/min
• Printing viscosity 30 – 35 s (DIN 4)
• Anilox roller: GTT 4 cm3/m2, 140 – 200 L/cm

The first layer of the color print should be covered with overprint varnish REVALUX 156 VARNISH 0155-3 or REVALUX 164 VARNISH 0115-05.
