We at Resino Inks experience that customers often find it challenging to meet the consumers’ demands regarding chemical resistance.
This can be for plastic packaging, labels for chemical products etc.
Chemical resistance is mostly achieved by using solvent based inks, and we have earlier developed a solvent-based, alkali-resistant ink for labels.
However, what if you are not allowed to use flammable inks in your print shop?
Maybe you can use UV curing inks, but what if you do not have a UV printing press?
The solution: 2K water-based ink resistant to alkali & various chemicals
To find a solution to this challenge, we tested several ink solutions in close cooperation with a customer.
We aimed to develop a high-quality, water-based ink that can resist alkaline detergents, hot water, and a multitude of chemicals, while the print retains its colors.
We delved into our technology toolbox and further developed on existing technologies.
This resulted in a two-component water-based ink tailored to these specific needs.
